This craftsman bungalow in Tangletown had plently of room for a family of five except for the kitchen. By removing the original table nook area, we were able to create a large work zone punctuated by a peninsula with seating. At the back of the kitchen there is also room for mudroom cabinetry. The refrigerator wall has loads of storage with a pantry, prep zone and microwave drawer. Upper cabinets in a light, rift-sawn oak complement the natural woodwork elsewhere in the home, and striking blue lower cabinetry ties in with the fun backsplash tile.
