This sophisticated kitchen near Minnehaha Creek is a medley of whites: white oak, white quartzite and two shades of white paint. Removing a wall between the main kitchen and eat-in areas created a unified space for custom inset cabinetry surrounding a large island. The focal point is a brushed brass hood servicing a 48-inch gas and induction range. Bianco Superiore quartzite covers the countertops as well as the backsplash, with a clever shelf at the range wall. Quartzite continues inside the hutch for a concealed coffee bar. The finishing touch is a new arch at the stairs, providing a beautiful sightline from the moment one walks through the front door.
