This home started its life in 1947 as a 2-bedroom post-war expansion house, then became a 4-bedroom two story in 2012. However, the current homeowners were quickly outgrowing the compact main floor living spaces. Unable to find anything on the market that fit their needs, they decided to pursue a remodel with a large addition to the main floor. The must-have-list included a kitchen with an island large enough for family meals, an open family room with lots of storage, and an office. With a few tweaks to the original layout, we were able to harmoniously relate the new space to the old. The details are classic but casual: custom cabinetry in a complementary mix of finishes, bright quartz countertops, brass accents and playful terrazzo tile all work together to create a warm and inviting space this family can enjoy for years to come.
